The sky in the original shot was nearly completely washed out. I really liked how Aperture was able to recover it for me from the RAW file without any real loss of detail and turn what would have been a throw-away shot into a keeper.
Give two kids some leftover fireworks in a dark garage and every now and then something cool can come out of it.
